Whilst it’s true that creating a calorie deficit is the only (natural) way to lose weight, most ‘diets’ are built on restriction, pressure, and shame. Whether it’s crash diets, punishing exercise plans or intense willpower, the focus is usually external: "Eat less. Move more. Try harder." Sadly, long-term studies show most people regain weight after ‘dieting’, suggesting these approaches do not affect long-term change.

Why? Well, most diets – and the ever-increasingly popular weight loss injections – tend of ignore the internal forces that drive behaviour—your beliefs, emotions, and subconscious patterns.

The truth? Psychological research highlights how emotional eating, body image, and subconscious beliefs heavily influence outcomes.
